Help the ride go smoothly
Confirm the pickup point and time, arrive reasonably promptly, communicate changes early, respect personal boundaries, and leave honest feedback.
Community guidelines
These guidelines describe the behaviour that helps riders and drivers coordinate practical, respectful shared journeys.
The basics
Provide accurate account, profile, vehicle, and ride information. Do not impersonate another person, misuse a verification status, or use an account to mislead the community.
Offer a ride only when you genuinely plan to make the journey. Keep timing, seats, route, vehicle, and split-fare information current.
Keep conversations relevant to the journey. Harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual misconduct, hateful content, stalking, or pressure to share unnecessary personal information are not acceptable.
Confirm the pickup point and time, arrive reasonably promptly, communicate changes early, respect personal boundaries, and leave honest feedback.
Do not request off-platform payments under pressure, share illegal or unsafe content, manipulate ratings, spam users, misuse personal data, or arrange prohibited activity.
Do not use UpDown while impaired, use a vehicle you are not authorised to drive, encourage unsafe driving, carry prohibited goods, or create a journey that violates applicable law. Never share another user's private information without a lawful reason and appropriate authority.
Report concerning behaviour through the confirmed support method. UpDown may review relevant account, ride, and communication information and may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove access where permitted by the Terms and applicable law. Serious matters may be referred to competent authorities through lawful process.
UpDown is not an emergency-response provider. If anyone faces an immediate risk of harm, contact the appropriate local emergency service first.
Clear plans, responsible choices, and respectful communication make shared travel work better for everyone.
